COME YE APART AND REST AWHILE
As you enter the 25 acre picturesque
farm surrounding the Wisteria Cottage on
Lavender Lane and cross the bridge you
will feel the tranquility and serenity
engulf you. The birds and butterflies
will be glad to share their herbs and
flowers with you, with the woods
beckoning you for a stroll to see what
wildlife can be found or even waiting on the
porch to watch the deer step out to see
what treats Alvin has left for them.
We invite you to come on in to the 2
bedroom, 1 bath cottage that has been
carefully and lovingly moved from the
Johnson farm on Hwy 78 West. to our
property. This house was home to the
"hands" that helped them tend the many
acres back in the 1940's. It has
been restored by Alvin and Jamie who
painstakingly cut, sawed, hammered, and
measured to return the house to its
original look.
We encourage bird watching, tramping the
woods or strolling the small garden for
herbs and flowers, or simply resting on
the front porch with a book or feeling
the cool breezes on the back deck while
you wait on the wildlife to start
moving.
The kitchen is equipped with a small
stove and refrigerator, microwave,
toaster and coffee pot.
The treats and drinks found at the
cottage are yours to enjoy after
arriving. You will also find fresh
seasonal flowers throughout the cottage.
A claw foot tub to remind you of the
days spent at Grandmas house awaits
using in the bathroom. The cottage
sleeps four with one Queen size bed and
one Double bed. A crib is
available upon request. |
